Adding SiteBot24 to Shopify

Shopify's theme system makes it straightforward to add the SiteBot24 chatbot widget to your store. Here's how to do it.

Method 1: Theme Editor (No Code)

Using a Custom Liquid Section

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. In the bottom-left, click Add section or look for a Custom HTML/Liquid section type
  4. Add the SiteBot24 widget code
  5. Save

Note: Section availability depends on your theme. Not all themes support custom sections in the footer area.

Method 2: Theme Code Editor (Recommended)

Access the Code Editor

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
  2. Click the three dots next to your active theme
  3. Select Edit code

Add the Widget

  1. In the file tree, find and open Layout/theme.liquid
  2. Locate the closing </body> tag near the bottom
  3. Paste the SiteBot24 widget code just before </body>
  4. Click Save

The chatbot will now appear on all pages of your Shopify store.

Method 3: Additional Scripts (Checkout Pages)

To add SiteBot24 to Shopify checkout pages (requires Shopify Plus):

  1. Go to Settings → Checkout
  2. Scroll to Order status page or Additional scripts
  3. Paste the widget code

Theme Updates

When Shopify updates your theme or you switch themes, you'll need to re-add the widget code. Keep a note of where you added it.

Testing Your Integration

  1. Visit your store in a private/incognito window
  2. Verify the chat button appears on: homepage, collection pages, product pages, cart
