What You'll Need
- A SiteBot24 account (free, 50 credits)
- Access to your website admin panel
- 30 minutes of time
Step 1: Registration (5 minutes)
Go to sitebot24.com and click "Register Free". Fill in your name, email and password. After verifying your email, log in to the dashboard.
Step 2: Create Your Chatbot (10 minutes)
In the dashboard, click "New Chatbot". Name your chatbot (e.g., "Website Support") and select the language.
Upload Knowledge Base
This is the most important step. The chatbot only answers what you teach it. You have 3 options:
- Manual FAQ entry – add questions and answers directly in the dashboard
- Document upload – upload a PDF or Word file with FAQs
- Website crawl – chatbot automatically reads your website content
Tip: Start with 20–30 most common customer questions.
Step 3: Configure Widget (5 minutes)
Go to Settings → Widget:
- Choose widget color (we recommend your brand color)
- Set welcome message: "Hi! How can I help you?"
- Choose position (bottom right corner is standard)
Step 4: Install on Website (10 minutes)
Copy the JavaScript code from the dashboard. It looks approximately like this:
<script src="https://widget.sitebot24.com/widget.js"
data-token="YOUR_TOKEN"></script>
Insert it just before the </body> tag on your website.
WordPress
Install the Insert Headers and Footers plugin, go to Settings → Insert Headers and Footers and paste the code in the "Scripts in Footer" section.
Step 5: Test and Launch
Go to your website and click the chatbot icon. Type a test question. If the chatbot answers correctly – congratulations, you have a working chatbot!
What's Next?
- Monitor analytics in the dashboard – which queries come most often
- Regularly update the knowledge base with new FAQs
- Set up escalation to email for queries the chatbot can't answer
